Hasbro Marvel Legends Sandman BAF Spider-UK Review

Review Advent Calendar Day 16: Marvel Legends Sandman Series Spider-UK

End of the line, folks. Spider-UK is the final figure in the Hasbro Marvel Legends Sandman build-a-figure wave. I actually got every single one done! It’s a shame I won’t be doing an advent calendar when the Guardians of the Galaxy Titus wave hits around January, because it would give me the motivation to muscle through Drax and Star-Lord. Anyways, I’m going to savor this little victory of all seven characters plus the build-a-figure getting a review. This may be the first time I’ve ever done it! Anyways, on to day sixteen …

This seven figure wave has three Spider-Man variants in it. While that seems a bit excessive, consider that Toy Biz Spider-Man waves would have a total of four figures. Of those four, three would be Spider-Man variants (often times with action features). Villains got a single slot and were also packed one per case. Finding that one villain on retail shelves was entirely luck based, as you pretty much had to come upon them shortly after the case was opened.

Those times are thankfully behind us. Hasbro Spider-Man Marvel Legends waves now consist of six to eight unique characters along with a build-a-figure. If we get a few Spider-Man variants in there it’s no big deal! Like All New, All Different Spider-Man 2099, Spider-UK was also afforded a completely new body. This is another body-type that is somewhere between Pizza-Spidey and Bucky Cap (Shocker is a good example of this body). However, this one loses the butterfly swing joints in the chest and has costume creases sculpted into it. I’m almost positive that this is the body they are using for the upcoming Jim Lee Cyclops figure.

His head can be placed on Pizza-Spidey if you so wish, I know a lot of people like the less wide-eyed look of Spider-UK’s head. He comes packaged with only Sandman’s left arm. I’ll say it one last time for this wave, “HANDS!” Throw us a few extra hands Hasbro! It’s Spider-Man after all, he needs multiple hand options!

Spider-UK’s real name is William Braddock, a rookie Captain Britain. From looking over his bio, the most important thing I took away from it is that we need a figure of Old Man Spider-Man. His button up spider-jacket is incredible!

Final Verdict: Just like All New, All Different Spider-Man 2099, appreciate the new body but lack of accessories … NAUGHTY!things-to-do-between-christmas-and-new-year-s-what-s-up-amsterdam-4owu6g-clipart
