It feels pretty good to be excited about Pacific Rim toys again! It’s almost as if a trailer was planned to drop this weekend, Bluefin had a huge section of their booth dedicated to action figures for the upcoming sequel. For Pacific Rim 2, Robot Spirits has an entire army of Jaegers ready to rock! The first three releases will be Gipsy Avenger (at an incredible introductory price of $20), Bracer Phoenix, and Titan Redeemer. These are all currently up for preorder with a projected release date of February 2018.
So what comes next? Glad you asked! Three additional Jaegers have been introduced and they are: Guardian Bravo, Obsidian Fury, and Saber Athena. And they can be pitted against our first named Kaiju: Sofvi Spirits Raijin.
In addition to the Robor Spirits line, Bluefin will be distributing the incredibly detailed Soul Chogokin GX?77 Gipsy Danger. Gipsy is currently up for preorder as well with a March 2018 expected release date.
Finally, Bandai will be bringing us plastic models of the main three Jaegers, and yes Gipsy’s chest does indeed light up!
Pacific Rim: Uprising will hit theaters in March of 2018, and it looks like it will have a healthy helping of toys coming with it!
