Funko: MOTU Wacky Wobblers and Power Rangers Pop!

Funko is one of those companies I try very hard to avoid.  This isn’t because they have bad products or I don’t like them, in fact it is just the opposite.  Funko has some of the coolest and most diverse vinyl lines out there today.  In fact, if it is popular more than likely you will see their stylized figure somewhere in the toy isle.

I’m a huge fan of their “Pop!” line.  I think I first took notice of it when Target carried both Marvel and DC Pop figures, the cute Batman really spoke to me.  It said things like “what’s another collection?” and “skip a couple meals so you can buy me!”  I never did give in, and Batman never made it to clearence … but even since the Funko has been adding properties I love (Muppets, Walking Dead, Mars Attacks) and in the process really testing my resolve.

So this brings us to the now.  Funko has announced a line of Wacky Wobblers based on Masters of the Universe.  Sure they aren’t Pop but you know if they got the license for Wobblers the Pop figures aren’t far behind!  They will do a run of four including He-Man, Orko, Skeletor, and Beast Man.  Check out the images below, they look really great!

Next for the Pop news, Funko has gotten the Power Rangers license and is starting out with the three most popular Rangers in their original outfits: Pink Ranger, Red Ranger, and White Ranger.  I would argue that I liked Tommy as the Green Ranger better, but I guess the White version was more popular.  What they really need to do is make a Bulk and Skull Pop figure.  Here are the Power Rangers Pop figures:

Fun fact, the dude that played Skull is a trained Shakespearean actor.
