Toy Fair 2015 The Loyal Subjects TMNT

Toy Fair 2015: The Loyal Subjects TMNT, Power Rangers, and GI Joe

The folks over at The Loyal Subjects had quite a bit to show off at this year’s Toy Fair.  We got to speak with them shortly about all the properties they have acquired in the last year.  They say they are just doing what they love, and want to do figures for the licenses they enjoy most.  They have gone from their blocky Transformers bodies to their new “Action Vinyl” build that their latest lines (Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) use.  They will also be rebooting their GI Joe line into the Action Vinyl style starting with series 2.  Check it out the Snake Eyes, Major Bludd and Beach Head they have planned:

Their TMNT line is blowing up, and they are hard at work on a second series that will be cartoon based.  Joining the turtles will also be a cartoon version of Splinter, Shredder, Foot Soldier, Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead, and Slash.  There are also going to be some variants of the original four turtles coming later this year.  The black and gray turtles will be San Diego Comic Convention exclusives, and the glow-in-the-dark figures will be a Hastings exclusive.  So be on the lookout for a lot more TMNT from The Loyal Subjects!

Fans of the original US Power Rangers series should be pleased that the first series should ship later this month!  Take a look at some shots of The Loyal Subjects Power Rangers line that includes fan favorite villains like Rita, Goldar, and Lord Zedd.

I’ll need to get my hands on a copy of their look book (the iPad we were taking pictures of had it loaded), but they also have a few other interesting figures in the pipeline.  Including a Spongebob Movie line that has five figures that each include a piece to build a larger sized Plank-ton.  Enjoy some additional pictures from their Toy Fair booth.

  1. I picked up on of the Loyal Subjects transformers a while back, and it was okay but I didn’t like it enough to get any more.
The TMNT figures really caught my attention, but none of the comic book stores around me have them. I just ran across some GameStop exclusive figures today which I didn’t know existed, and picked up a Leonardo.
I will definitely be getting more of these, and the G.I. Joes when they come out. The Power Rangers look cool, they’re just a little after my time, so I never got into them.

    1. I definitely have issues with blindbox, and typically stay away from them. The GameStop figures are in window boxes, so at least I knew who I was getting, but today I bought some of the blindboxes and got bit by them. I got a Donatello, which I was really excited for because I really wanted him (wasn’t digging the GameStop colors on him), but he came with two left arms.
I emailed theloyalsubjects, so hopefully they’ll take care of it for me. If not, maybe the store will take him back because he’s misassembled, but then that means I’ll have to go to ebay to get one.
However, if you do want to try them out, gohastings.com has them on sale for a pretty good deal, and their shipping seems reasonable.

  2. On the customer service side of things, it took less than 24 hours (and I recognize I emailed them on a Sunday, so nobody was working and it may have been even a quicker response during the week) for them to get back to me and say they’ll get a new figure in the mail for me.
