It was revealed during New York Comic Convention 2018 that Hasbro had a second “Archive Collection” wave coming next year. The Archive Collection’s intention is to bring older figures back into circulation, sometimes with improvements such as face prints. This is a great idea as some older Star Wars Black six-inch figures have become very pricey on the aftermarket, while others would benefit from the new face printing technology.
The first series will include Boba Fett, IG-88, Bossk, and X-Wing Pilot Luke Skywalker. The timing of this first series is perfect with Dengar, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss all coming out this year. Collectors who missed the previous releases of the bounty hunters will finally be able to complete that set.
But now let’s focus on the second series. So far, three figures have been announced: Anakin Skywalker, Biker Scout, and Yoda. Hasbro has sent along official pictures of the trio, so now we can get a better look at the changes made from the initial releases. For example, Anakin and Yoda both look to have improved facial deco.
