This one came as a bit of a surprise for me as I was perusing the amazing Square-Enix booth and New York Comic Con. I have always loved (from a distance) their Batman Arkham Asylum/City figures, so when I looked into their display case and saw Dark Knight trilogy figures I screamed. It was a bit of a girly scream, but that’s okay I wasn’t the only one.
Play-Arts KAI had a really good collection of unpainted prototypes for their Dark Knight trilogy collection. This included The Joker, Catwoman, Bane, and Batman. Joker comes with additional heads and a clown mask, Bane has additional hands and a broken bat-mask, Batman has batarangs and hands, and Catwoman has an alternate head and some hands. They all come packed with extras and the articulation looks fantastic. I will be keeping an eye on these so I can scope the final product.
Also included in the case was an unpainted prototype of Arkham City Robin and Play-Arts stab at a Dark Knight Returns Batman.
Check out the pictures from the display case below and keep tuned here for more NYCC 2012 coverage!
