NYCC 2015: Hasbro Marvel Legends

I was not expecting what I saw at Hasbro’s pre-New York Comic Convention party.  A Jim Lee era Rogue!  I understand there were other figures, and we will get to them.  But let that sink in, after a year of speculation as to whether or not we’d ever even see X-Men figures in Marvel Legends again here she is.  She is stunning.

Not only is Rogue stunning, but the entire Captain America wave she was shown with.  We were told by Hasbro that Rogue will be in her own X-Men themed wave with a new build-a-figure, and yes she will include that alternate helmet to place on Onslaught.

So let’s take a look at the official lineup for Captain America Legends 2016 Wave 1:

Captain America
Mockingbird
Taskmaster
Cottonmouth
Sharon Carter
Scourge
Whirlwind
Red Skull Onslaught (Build-A-Figure)

There will be a second Cap themed wave later in the year that will include the Nuke and Namor teased at SDCC a few months back.  I’m guessing they are holding back revealing some of the movie figures that could make up that wave.

So what could that X-Men themed wave have?  I made sure to mention a couple hundred times that a BAF sized Juggernaut is long overdue, and would make a lot of sense.  I think Deadpool is also due for a release (and possible figure upgrade) with the movie hitting this year.  Jamie Madrox would be amazing as long as they don’t do him on the Nick Fury body (from chatting with the design team, they aren’t very fond of that body either anymore).  And then finally, they need to upsize that Cable with baby Hope from the Universe line.  Those are my four wishes for an X-Men wave.  I can’t wait to find out what it will actually contain.

This is also going to severely screw with my OCD because I may need to build two Onslaughts.
