Ah the old sassy goblin, King No’Glin.
This was the guy that really sold me on pledging towards the “Advent of Decay” Kickstarter last year. I was originally just in this line for the Orcs and Skeletons. It would have been a lot cheaper for me had I stuck to that! Goblins are inherently awesome, but this guy had the smuggest face and most adorable crown. How could I say no to that? Thanks, Horsemen for introducing a new, awesome race to the Legions.
King No’Glin comes with a pretty solid arsenal of weapons including a double layered cloak, sword, dagger with sheath, spear with a removable round top, an arakh, belt, and three wing adaptors. Every “Advent of Decay” figure appears to come with these three wing adaptors that include no instructions whatsoever.
King No’Glin’s Bio:
The caverns deep below the Grayvein Mountains have the distinction of being home to not only one, but two sprawling kingdoms. Locked in what seemed like an eternal conflict over land and resources, King No’Glin of the cave goblins and King Bromdenn Ironjaw of the cave dwarves have suddenly found common ground. The two kings have aligned their armies, skills, and resources to aid Gorgo Aetherblade in hope of expanding their kingdoms reaches upon Arethyr’s return.
The throne I used here is an accessory that came with Funko’s DC Primal Age Batcave playset, which is currently available on Amazon right now. It’s actually a pretty handy line if you are in the market for strange, fantasy-themed accessories for your Mythic Legions collection.
Out of the package, the cape is a bit of a pain in the ass to put together. Like the wing adaptors, there are no instructions for these either. Part of me thinks they want people to be creative and find the best way to rest the cape, but the cynic in me believes they just didn’t feel like printing up directions. Either way, I found it’s important to heat the shoulder armor first. Those pegs can be super tight fresh out of the box, so softening the plastic will keep you from hurting fingers or losing your sanity.
I love the King, but he also caused me to get every other Goblin in the wave. Collecting is a sickness, isn’t it?
