Toy Fair 2014: NECA Portal 2, TF2, Bioshock, and Diablo

NECA had a nice mix of video game action figures and props on display at Toy Fair 2014.  Though the releases on their Valve partnership have slowed a bit in the past year they still had figures from Portal 2 and Team Fortress 2 on display.  We’d seen the Portal bots P-Body and Atlas before, but it looks like their release has been pushed back to April 2014.  The next set of Team Fortress 2 figures, the Engineer and Spy, are slated for an April 2014 release.  A BLU variant is sure to follow, and then that leaves us with three more members of the cast (Medic, Scout, and Sniper … we’ve seen the Scout already and NECA says they are all sculpted) until completion!

Sure Bioshock Infinite is starting to fade from people’s minds, but NECA has another Motorized Patriot on the way!  This time with a Benjamin Franklin head and a purple color to his coat.  The patriots are really imposing looking figures and I’m hoping they can get a few more in like Lincoln, Jefferson, or any historical figures!  We also get our first look at NECA’s Booker Dewitt figure.  Now he is kind of in limbo as to whether NECA will release him or not.  They say his release really depends on the reception he gets at the show, so sure this is probably more dependant on retailers, but let them know over on their twitter account if you want Booker.

Finally we have Diablo!  Again we had seen these at SDCC last year, but it looks as though the Diablo 7″ figure has also been pushed back into this year.  Along with Diablo they have a Sword of Justice prop replica, fitted with LEDs for a really nice light-up action.  The sword replica is slated for an April 2014 release.
