We were aware of the Funko Legacy Game of Thrones line prior to Toy Fair, however we did not know what other licenses they had planned for this scale.ย Funko decided to show off two additional properties that will join the “Legacy” family: Fantastic Mr. Fox and Magic the Gathering.
The Magic the Gathering line will be based off of the popular video game titled “Duels of the Planeswalkers” which gets yearly installments on all gaming platforms.ย They look to be doing figures of the cast from the game, and the designs are cool enough.ย I’m actually not sure if there has ever been a Magic the Gathering figure line that hit shelves?ย I remember the ill-fated Resaurus one, and even recall trying to get a Serra Angel prototype some time after they closed shop.
The Magic the Gathering figures are slated for a June 2014 release.ย Even if you don’t like Magic they may double as just decent six-inch fantasy figures.
Next up is Fantastic Mr. Fox.ย This is an interesting choice by Funko and certainly one I never would have predicted.ย The Fantastic Mr. Fox line is also slated for a June 2014 release date.
Worth mentioning again that hopefully the quality control issues found in the first Game of Thrones wave are found and corrected for theses upcoming Legacy releases.

Is it me or the mr fox figures not have any articulation?
They have some, but I wonder if they aren’t going to try to do the knees/elbows on such small arms? Not sure.
Aww, I was kinda expecting an MLP line, Hasbro probably won’t be supplying us with articulated ponies, so why not? These look pretty cool, I’d be up for the Magic the Gathering ones, the Fantastic Mr. Fox ones looks pretty cool as well
Could always hope for a Figuarts pony!
