Our Star Wars Black Series coverage this year is brought to you by Cosmic Toys and Collectibles, a great shop located in Hamilton, ON, Canada. They have an incredible selection of Hasbro Star Wars product and the customer service is second to none. I highly suggest you check them out either at their online shop or on Twitter!
First off, we start by finding out about how the six-inch Star Wars Black line will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, by going back to where it all began with the original 12 figures with a display base. This base is where Darth Vader in a vintage-inspired card (all twelve will have this) will debut. Two figures we have not yet seen as also revealed who will be part of the twelve: Jawa and Death Squad Commander. The Jawa will be molded plastic instead of soft goods, which I’m sure is going to make many happy!
The first wave of the 40th Anniversary line will be as follows: Ben Kenobi, Princess Leia (new head sculpt), Han Solo, R2-D2, and Luke Skywalker.
The second wave will be: Chewbacca, C-3P0, Stormtrooper, Sand Person, Jawa, and Death Squad Commander.
Of the twelve there will be two exclusives: X-Wing Pilot Luke for Celebration 2017 in Orlando, Florida. R5-D4 will be a Gamestop exclusive.
Force Friday will be September 1, 2017! The final Black Series wave prior to going Episode 8 will include Lando, Imperial Guard, Qui-Gon Jinn, Hera, and the Tusken Raider.
Target will also have an exclusive six-inch AT-ACT Driver from Rogue One.
Thanks again to our friends over at Cosmic Toys and Collectibles for sponsoring out coverage this year!
