It’s nice to get a surprise once in a while! The big reveal of Night Thrasher at San Diego Comic Convention (I think?) as the final figure in this wave was a big “who cares?” from me. My reaction wasn’t
Promo pictures didn’t do this guy justice whatsoever. Having him in hand is a whole other experience. First off, perhaps I wasn’t paying that close of attention, but I had no idea that he had a skateboard AND a backpack to hold it! The Daredevil batons were no surprise, however, the backpack also has holsters for that. How fantastic! An action figure that can actually carry all of his accessories on his back.
You know what else is fun about Night Thrasher? His entire upper body and lower half of his legs have this glassy shine to them. It’s really quite striking and contrasts well with the red sections of his costume.
I’m a big fan of the skateboard. It has a surprising amount of detail sculpted into it as well as actual working wheels. Although, I can’t help but feel that it might be a smidge under-scaled? While a foot peg would be nice, I’m not going to fault Hasbro for not including one because it would probably make it harder to store the thing in his backpack.
Would I suggest Marvel Legends Night Thrasher?
Hell yes! Sure, everybody wants Kingpin, however, if there is one figure you should purchase individually in this wave, make it Night Thrasher.
